Searching for my first gig in London

Day 0: Landed. Day 1 after landing: search for a gig to justify my new blog entry at StereoGiraffe.

Approach: ask the internet for free concerts, read the TimeOutLondon and Le Cool guides. gigFacts: Small places intermingled in London neighborhoods are prepared for concerts. You do not have to move to the city center to this very special place to enjoy a great gig. Nothing to do with the music scene in Madrid. Thank you new city.

Results: 2. David Ward + Declan Guckian or Get Inuit.

I decided to go for David Ward and Declan at The Finsbury. First, I liked the pub. I got to know the area in December when looking for a flat and I wanted to taste its night life. Second, these two musicians are songwriters. Given my loneliness I thought that was the right choice. Get Inuit played at the The Social. I pictured myself assisting accompanied to this kind of venue.

Conclusions: It felt good. Declan is an Irish guy that is just back to the UK after touring in Berlin for a year. The best of his performance was his surprising high-pitched voice. Declan started his performance singing an stunning song a Capella.

I do think London is a right place to experience music. I am happy as I have found a very nice flat in a great place. I will enjoy live music in the city!
